Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Which brand of swimming goggles is the best?
The best brand of swimming goggles is made by Speedo and the most popular are their Fastskin designs. These are comfortable and effective goggles with very few design flaws. If you are looking for the best option on the market for comfort and fit, then you can't go wrong with a pair of Speedo Fastskins. They also work well for outdoor swimming, pool parties, and, of course, triathlons.
What are the best goggles for open water swimming?
If you are looking for the best goggle for open water swimming or triathlons then you should consider the Speedo Vanquisher. While this feels very similar to your typical swim goggle, it’s overall design is much different and somewhat unique.
First off, it has an extremely low profile design that’s not quite correctable for close range vision. With that being said, it does have a hydrodynamic shape. Unlike swim goggles used in pools, these ones sit on the firmer part of the eye and are a lot more comfortable as a result. The way it sits on your face is super flexible, and you can put it on even with thick, longer hair.
What goggles do professional swimmers wear?
All professional swimmers wear goggles. The reason why so many of them wear such a few type of eyewear is that there is a very clear winner in swim goggles; the Speedo Vanquisher. They are all-around the very best swimming goggles from the best brand in the business. This review takes a peek at their pricing, design, and overall quality.
Are tinted swimming goggles better?
As far as vision goes, swimming goggles with yellow or green tint are enough to keep most people from hitting the pool deck. However, some people prefer to wear tinted swim goggles primarily for fashion reasons. It’s a matter of preference for just about everybody.
Generally, tinted swimming goggles are a bit more costly than the clear ones. The tints are also more likely to wear off than the lens in a clear swim goggle. That’s why it’s a good idea to choose clear swimming goggles if you are on a budget.
If you’re interested in getting some tinted swim goggles, we recommend ones with a darker layer on the bottom of the lenses. These are better at preventing harmful UVA rays from penetrating the tint and onto your eyes.
We think it's super important that you select swim goggles that are perfectly designed for you. After all, swim goggles make a world of difference in your comfort and your performance. You need to make sure you feel comfortable, enjoy wearing them, and most importantly, you need to be able to see clearly.
